Our
Mission
Statement:
Our
goal, as teachers, is to not only teach dance, but to also inspire our
students. We expect all of
our students to work hard. We
believe that hard work will not only improve their dance technique, but
also develop personal dedication in our dancers, which will serve as a
valuable attribute in their lives. We
stand by the belief that our dancers can learn and accomplish anything
that they put their minds to.
Our
dancers should strive toward the love of dance, rather than the rewards
that dance can bring. Our
dancers should always concentrate on performing for their own gain, rather
that for worldly gain. Also,
it is vital, that our dancers do not ever see themselves as in anyway
better than any other dancer here at this studio.
We do not want competition within the studio.
Subsequently, we will not tolerate it in the studio as well.
We,
as teachers, put our faith, whole heartedly, in our students and hope that
as the months go by, that they will learn to share their feelings, if they
do not do so already. All
That Dance strives to ensure that the dance classroom is an atmosphere of
acceptance and excitement. The
phrase, “I can’t” is not allowed in our vocabulary or in our studio
for that matter. Therefore,
mistakes are accepted and expected. Our
dancers can do anything, and as long as they believe this as well, they
will be successful. It is our
main goal to instill this drive, this love of dance, in our students.
Lastly, dance
is intended to be both fun and challenging.
In other words, we have fun, we laugh, but we also work very hard.
Our dancers are expected to give 100 % in every class, and nothing
less will be tolerated. Also,
a positive attitude is necessary. The
teachers at All That Dance hope that by sharing with you our goals, you
will now have a better understanding of what we desire this studio to be.
We hope that this year proves to be a wonderful experience for you
and your child. We will do
our best to make that a reality.
Sincerely,
The dance teachers of All That Dance
